Over the weekend, we took a climb up Humpback Gap Overlook (Elevation 2360).

My kids made the trip with no problems, mom and dad had a little more of a challenge.

The Trail starts out meandering through the woods just off Skyline Drive near Rockfish Gap. (This is our first glimpse of the Rock)

They say it is a 4 mile round trip, which is about right because we took over 2 hours. (Thank goodness for Stairs)

We ate lunch with an even more incredible view!

Then there was the hike back down!!!

It was a good day, spent with the family in Nelson County! About 30-45 minutes from Charlottesville, Virginia. A great little day trip....
