It turned into a fine Snow Day in Charlottesville. Take a look at these photos!

This is the view off our rear deck, we have 2-3 inches of fresh powder! Te kids and I had a blast in the snow this morning. We did some sleding and had a great snow ball fight. Mom made us hot chocolate!

Even our dogs got into the action! We can throw a snow ball in the air and our dogs will catch them. What fun!!!

Our neighbors came down and joined into the action!

Now everyone in inside and our kids and the neighbor kids are all here enjoying a movie! These are great times in Charlottesville.

I just looked outside and the snow is still falling..... Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!!!

This year we will have my niece and her family visit for us in Charlottesville for Thanksgiving. They have a second child (who we have not met yet). There will be Turkey and Pumpkin Pie but the best thing is to have loved ones around during the holiday!

Many times we forget how fortunate we are to live in such a wonderful place, to have family and friends, good food and shelter. We are truly blessed and this time of year we feel it more because the holidays bring it out in us.

If you can find it in your heart this year, please look to someone who is not as fortunate as you are and offer them a kind word or some of your time.

A donation to a local charity is always a great idea and you should consider that too, but how about stopping by a retirement community? There are a lot of folks there that never get a visitor. Or a visit to a hospital or even a phone call to someone who you know is lonely.

I truly feel blessed to live in such a wonderful community like Charlottesville and I know do too! Share that good feeling with others.

Make "giving" a part of your game plan this year and next, you will be rewarded a thousand fold!

Remember the name of this holiday is Thanksgiving!
