A room with a view - Part 3 - Charlottesville VA

Framing!

We are off to a great start and step 3 is Framing. I am amazed at how fast this step is going. We are using micro-lam to span the 20 foot face of the room to preserve the view. The beams will be wrapped between 10-12 inches and we are still deciding on the roof and ceiling materials.

Here is another photo of the open front where the micro-lam is spanning 20 feet!

Barbara - 20 feet by 12 feet covered area (plus about 1 1/2 foot overhang and all sides)...

Charles, you had an excellent idea. Is this room going to be mostly windows? What type did you decided on? Will the french doors stay? Awesome project!
